Brazilian visual artist. He explores the intersections between light, time, and movement, creating visual experiments that reveal gestures, memories, and hidden vibrations within everyday matter.
His practice is rooted in the physical manipulation of the camera as an expressive tool, working with long exposures and rephotographing images projected onto CRT TVs or carved from natural light streaming through window slits. Felipe has developed a singular, hybrid approach that blends painting, photography, and animation—resulting in visual compositions charged with sensory depth and poetic resonance.
With over 20 years of research and experimentation, his work spans still images, animations, videos, and audiovisual installations. In addition to exhibitions in Brazil and abroad, his work has been featured in international publications such as Elephant Magazine (UK/Netherlands) and awarded multiple times by the International Photography Awards (IPA) in New York.
Alongside his artistic practice, he works as an art director and multidisciplinary creator. He developed original projects like Os Vivaldos and Petsons, blending visual storytelling, music, and humor for audiences of all ages. With roots in advertising and a background in communication and the arts, his work brings a rare combination of technical precision, creative freedom, and existential curiosity.
His process begins with doubt and gesture, a gaze that doesn’t aim to portray the world, but to question it through light.
